Clay diffusers are simple to use and ideal for delicate aroma diffusion. Embedded on a natural wood base, each clay piece is individually crafted by hand - no two are exactly alike.
Suitable for use in Cars, small living spaces, enclosed areas with good air circulation, or on desk tops.
Low maintenance Does not require power source Flame-free
Scent Intensity: Gentle Scent Longevity: Short
Drip 10-15 drops of essential oil onto the clay. For optimal diffusion, leave the diffuser in the box overnight before display. To refresh a faded scent, add 8 -10 drops of essential oil.
Changing Scent for Diffusion: Changing the scent for your clay diffuser is possible but only applicable for the first attempt, and to clay pieces that have only absorbed oil for less than a month. Subsequent switches lower the effectiveness of diffusion. Over time, oils are absorbed into the core part of the porous ceramic and it will be very challenging to execute a thorough scent change.
Please note that it will not be possible to remove any oil-induced discolouration left on the clay.
To Perform a Scent Change: Immerse the clay in boiling hot water. Replace the cooled water after every 30 minutes to ensure that the water remains hot. Over time, oils from within the clay body will surface. Gently wipe off the oil and soak in hot water again. Repeat the steps until you no longer see oil coming out of the clay. A final soak of 30 to 60mins in the cleaning solution will give the last thorough cleansing. Total time required may take 2 to 8 hours.
Dry the clay in the sun for a few days to ensure that your clay is completely dry on the inside. Clay pieces still clogged with water will not be able to absorb new diffuser oil and fail to diffuse any new scents.
Caution Handle with care; ceramic is fragile. Avoid spilling essential oil on plastic or painted surfaces. Keep out of reach from children and pets. Colour of base may vary due to natural wood grain patterns.
